This whole month of February, we’ll be exploring house plants and what their metaphysical properties are…

Alocasia is the first one in our House Plant Magic Series.

Known as Amazonian Alocasia also known as elephant ear, it’s a tropical plant from Southeast Asia, commonly seen on rainforest floors. Sometime’s called Alocasia Polly or African Mask plant.

How many of you have tropical houseplants that are kind of small and then you go to FL or somewhere down south and see all of your houseplants huge, like gigantic!!

And you’re like, wow, I didn’t you could get that big!

Mythologicaly it’s been suggested that the tree can reach to the heavens.

Likened to the beanstalk in the famous children’s story of Jack And The Beanstalk.

The dark green color representing abundance and prosperity.

In African folklore, it is believed that they are connected to our ancestors possessing mystical qualities providing the bridge between spiritual and physical realms

With their cleansing properties, their known to clear negativity providing a sense of harmony, protection and peace.

Feng Shui Practitioners advise that placing them in the southeast corner of a room will enhance abundance in your finances and success in your life!

Warding off negative energy and providing protection in sacred spaces and your home.

It ranks high in plants that are air purifying, so it doesn’t just have metaphysical properties to it, but it’s actually good for us physically, too!
